Kwame Nkrumah

He was born on Sep 21, 1909 . He died on Apr 27, 1972 .He was 62 years old. he was born in Nkroful, Ghana.. He struggled for great Britain ..He went on to be named life president of both the nation and his politic party, until the army and police in Ghana seized power in 1966 and he found asylum in Guinea.

 CHARLES MINGUS was a jazz bass player... Mingus, Mingus, Mingus, Mingus, Mingus is sort of a "greatest hits revisited" record, as the bassist revamps or tinkers with some of his best-known works.. The album was recorded on September 20,1963. Two noteworthy  musicians on this session included, Eddie Preston, and Don Butterfield. 

  

           

Erroll Garner was a virtuosic and popular jazz pianist known for creating one of the best-selling albums in jazz, Concert by the Sea (1958).Jazz pianist Erroll Garner was born on June 15, 1921, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Garner was influenced by Fats Waller and was entirely self-taught. He spelled Art Tatum in the latter's trio in 1945 and subsequently formed his own three-piece group, achieving commercial success with Concert by the Sea (1958)

Born on September 16, 1925.. Died on  May 14, 2015.. known professionally as B.B. King, was an American blues singer, electric guitarist, songwriter, and record producer. King introduced a sophisticated style of soloing based on fluid string bending and shimmering vibration that influenced many later electric blues guitarists.Outside of B.B. King's numerous recordings and concerts, he has been bestowed with several honors. The following list, while not all inclusive, highlights the majority of B.B. A brilliant lawyer , motley played a pivotal role in numerous civil rights cases during the two decades following world war ll. she battled in the courts of the deep south at a time and place where racial tensions burned while hot ,often putting her own life in danger for the sake of the cause..

Alain Leroy Lock was American writer, philosopher, educator ,and patron of the arts. Distinguished  as the first African American Rhodes scholar in 1907, Lock was philosophical architect  acknowledged Dean of the Harlem Renaissance . He was born on this day 1885.
